About Us

The Heavy Marine & Foundations, Bahamas, Ltd. (HMF) was formed in 1997 by its president Dwayne Pratt to provide auger piles and marina construction services throughout the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. One of HMF’s notable achievements has been to forge a relationship with Shoreline Foundations Inc. that together represents over100 years of experience in the construction industry. 

To date, Shoreline has provided extensive consultancy and training to HMF in the auger pile and marina installations and when necessary has partnered with HMF to complete large projects. The Heavy Marine Foundations partnership team is capable of creating structures, utilizing traditional construction methodologies as well as implementing the latest in construction technology for; super structures, residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings.

Heavy Marine Foundations provides diverse construction services to our clients through our General Construction Division and our Heavy Marine and Foundation Division, throughout the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. The General Construction Division provides services that include: Block or concrete super structures, concrete floor systems, concrete wall systems, and substructure foundations. 

The Marine Foundation Division provides services that include: heavy upland foundations, deep pile driving, residential and commercial seawalls and docks, breakwater and shoreline stabilization systems, dredging, and beach re-nourishment. Heavy Marine Foundations is capable of delivering the best possible product on time and within budget. 

Our construction crews are supported by our professional staff of technical and engineering specialists. This enables Heavy Marine Foundations to offer preconstruction planning and construction budgeting estimates, architectural and engineering services, environmental assessments, and the development of environmental mitigation and restoration plans.
