Marine Projects:
Over the last 10 years, Heavy Marine & Foundation, Company Ltd., is responsible for and or assisted with over 650 marine construction projects in the Bahamas, Southeastern United States, the Caribbean Islands, and Puerto Rico. These endeavors range in size from single-family home docks, to municipal marinas with fixed and floating docks and fueling facilities, to the mega-yacht facility of Atlantis Marina, Paradise Island, Bahamas.
Some of our Marine Projects are shown below:
Auger Projects:
Our Auger Division specializes in Augered Cast-In-Place (ACIP) grout piles ranging in diameter from 12 inches to 30 inches with ground depths of up to 95 feet of penetration. ACIP piles are installed by digging into the ground with a specialized auger bit. As the bit penetrates the rotating motion of the auger forces the substrate up and out of the resulting drilled-shaft.
Upon reaching the desired depth the auger is raised out of the hole while the grout mixture ( sand + cement + water + additives) is simultaneously pumped into the auger hole. Pre-fabricated steel rebar cages are immediately lowered into the grouted-hole and upon curing the ACIP is complete.
Over the last 50 years, ACIP has proven to be the pile of choice for installations which require minimum ground vibration, and/or disturbance of the immediate area. The HMF Auger Division has earned a reputation in the foundation industry of proving design-build ACIP services, competitive pricing, and excellent customer service.
